Swedish

This type of massage is great for inducing relaxation and reducing stress. Historically, it is known as "Medical Gymnastics" due to the types of movements incorporated into the massage session.

Deep Tissue

I will incorporate deeper pressure to work out knots, tension, and trigger points. I'll work through various layers of muscle and work deeper as the tissue lets me in. The depth of pressure is dependent upon your comfort level.

Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT)

This is a very specific type of bodywork in which individual muscles and groups of muscles are thoroughly treated from their origin to insertion.  This soft-tissue approach deals with chronic pain and assists in bringing balance to the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system. These physiological factors will be addressed as they may create or intensify pain patterns: nerve compression, trigger points, postural issues, ischemia, nutrition and emotional wellbeing.  Some of the conditions that benefit from NMT are: carpal tunnel syndrome, recurring headaches/migranes, TMJD, plantar fasciitis, IT band syndrome, piriformis syndrome, etc.

Sports Massage

This session incorporates massage techniques that are specific to the athlete's sport. Sessions will focus on areas of the body that are used, overused and/or injured from repetitive and aggressive movements.

Pregnancy Massage

The pregnancy massage will be customized to meet your needs and will focus on pain relief, swelling reduction and reducing stress. Positioning and type of bodywork will be determined by what trimester you’re in and your comfort level. Bolsters and pillows are used to provide extra support and comfort.
